TPIRC’s Unique Collaborative Model

Progressive research, clinical care and patient advocacy UNITE to advance the treatment of orphan diseases.

The Translational Pulmonary & Immunology Research Center (TPIRC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, is a targeted rare disease institute comprehensively joining basic research, cutting edge clinical care, clinical trials, disease education/awareness and philanthropy under one organizational structure in Long Beach, California.  Located adjacent to Miller’s Children’s Hospital, TPIRC offers the unique opportunity to join clinical physician researchers with basic scientists and disease advocates under one roof.

By combining philanthropy and fundraising with research and clinical accountability, TPIRC will offer a comprehensive approach to rare disease innovation and care.  The “downstream” model of TPIRC will allow the advocacy component with the clinical component to drive research productivity with accountability toward results.

An example of this model is illustrated below.
