Food Allergy Alliance

The mission of the Food Allergy Alliance is to build a coalition of allies, partners, and champions that support the food allergy community. The program accomplishes this by spreading awareness of food allergies and their impacts, educating people about food anaphylaxis and treatment, and creating safe spaces where our allergy patients and their families can feel comfortable dining without fear of an allergic reaction. The program amplifies food allergy awareness and creates high visibility for the members of our coalition, recognizing their support and the effort they make to create a safer world for our patients.

Understanding food allergy patients and the trauma that they have gone through is crucial to their treatment, self-esteem, and social abilities. Many of our patients and their parents have been isolated from society due to their life threatening allergies. It isn’t until they near remission that they begin feeling comfortable re-integrating back into society. The Food Allergy Alliance was created by the Food Allergy Institute to alleviate these hardships and make society more welcoming and safe for our patients. Through our partnership with hotels, restaurants, schools, amusement parks, and more, we can make society a safer and more aware place for our patients. The easily integratable changes that we advise help business increase their customer base through care and safe methods. We hope that these partnerships will find a way into your businesses soon.

Through our partnerships, advocacy, and awareness, we actively empower safe and inclusive environments for our patients, making them feel comfortable in spaces they would normally be isolated from.
